Clarks Announce Baby #2

It's a season of change for Katie and Travis Clark. They recently relocated to East Tennessee, and now they just made another big announcement. Katie is pregnant with Baby #2! She and Travis found out the news in early February, while they were en route to Tennessee for the Bates' I Love You Day party, which was less than two weeks before Hailey's first birthday. You can watch their announcements to their family members in their latest YouTube video. 

This baby will make 32 grandchildren for Gil and Kelly Bates, with four more on the way. Esther Bates is due in fall, while Tiffany Bates is due in summer. Tori Smith is due with her fifth soon.

Bates #7 Turns 26

Happy 26th birthday to Tori Smith! Tori is the 7th of Gil and Kelly Bates' 19 children. She and Bobby just celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary (that sure came fast!) four days ago. They are the parents of Kade (3), Kolter (1), and Charlotte (almost 6 months).

Celebrating Alyssa and Kade

Today is the fifth and final "double Bates birthday" of the year. That's right, the Bates have five shared birthdays annually. That means that about 20 percent of the Bates family members have a birthday buddy. Talk about low odds! So who are they celebrating today? Alyssa Webster is turning 27, and Kade Smith is turning three. Happy birthday to Alyssa and Kade!

With the arrival of Charlotte in June, the Smiths became a family of five. Until Kade turns three next month, Tori and Bobby will be the busy parents of three children ages two and under. Tori and Bobby might just be following in Gil and Kelly's footsteps, although their little ones aren't quite as close in age as Zach, Michael, and Erin. We just love this shot by Taryn Yager.

Wedding Shower for Katie

When you are a member of the Bates family, attending showers is a regular activity. It seems like someone is always having a baby or preparing for a wedding. Yesterday, the ladies gathered to celebrate Katie's upcoming marriage to Travis Clark (on December 3rd). They hosted the shower at the Bates Sisters Boutique.

All three of the June Bates babies have arrived! The most recent, Charlotte Raine Smith, was born Thursday, June 24th, at 5:35am. She weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces and measured 19 inches long. Tori and Bobby had quite the scare during Charlotte's delivery when her heart rate dropped due to the cord being wrapped tightly around her neck.  The big Bates baby month is finally here! Very appropriately, there is a lot of talk about the June babies coming up on Thursday's new episode of Bringing Up Bates. Tori Smith is having a girl after two boys, and Whitney Bates is having a boy after two girls, so the two ladies do a clothes swap (video below). Josie Balka, on the other hand, will welcome a second daughter just a month shy of two years after Willow's arrival, so she will be able to reuse her clothes.

Tori's 'Unique' Labor

Tori is fixin' to have a baby! Well, in TV time, that is. This week on Bringing Up Bates, the Smiths welcome Kolter in a slightly different fashion than past Bates deliveries. Bobby is the only support person who can be by Tori's side during the birth, but the rest of the Bates ladies are able to show their support via video chat. 

Also on Thursday's episode, Trace ends up in the emergency room following a basketball injury, and the Bates continue to navigate life all the changes that life has brought (snapshots and video clip below).
