Bates #12 and #15 Turn 20 and 16

Between January 23rd and February 17th, a span of less than four weeks, the Bates family has a whopping 10 birthdays to celebrate, including two "double birthdays." The first double birthday was Trace and Jeb on February 1st, and the second is today. Jackson is turning 20, and Addallee is turning 16. Happy birthday to this brother-sister duo!

Wedding Shower for Katie

When you are a member of the Bates family, attending showers is a regular activity. It seems like someone is always having a baby or preparing for a wedding. Yesterday, the ladies gathered to celebrate Katie's upcoming marriage to Travis Clark (on December 3rd). They hosted the shower at the Bates Sisters Boutique.

Double Dipping Bates

We're throwing it back almost four years with this lighthearted video. While baking with Carson and her youngest sisters, Erin reveals two Bates family members who are guilty of double dipping. One is a young child, and the other is very much an adult. Any guesses?

Girls' Trip to Arizona

Kelly Bates recently used airline points to take a girls' trip with her three youngest daughters. Addallee (15), Ellie (14), and Callie (12) will soon be the only three out of 10 Bates daughters who are not yet married, once Katie Bates ties the knot on December 3rd. Gil and Kelly are all about spending quality time with their children, and with two weddings coming up that are requiring attention from Mama Bates, it is sweet to see her take the time to make memories with her younger girls.

Katie's Car Accident

Last year, Katie got into her first car accident, which crushed the front of her car and deployed the airbag. She says it was the scariest thing that has ever happened to her. Thankfully, she was okay and just ended up with a black eye and swelling on one side of her face.

Ellie and Addee Visit Florida

Addallee and Ellie just returned from a two-week trip to Florida to visit Alyssa and John. Since Addee and Ellie were so young when the Bates started filming for their show, it's easy to think of them as the "little" girls. But can you believe that Addee just turned 15 and that Ellie will be 14 in April? 

The two of them were able to spend quality time with the Websters, as well as help watch the girls while Alyssa and John packed and worked on their new house. That's right, the Websters are now homeowners! Their house is a fixer-upper, but it won't be long before it's finished and ready for move-in. We will keep you updated. This month, the Websters have also had house help from the Stewarts and some of Alyssa's unmarried brothers.

Celebrating Jackson and Addallee

It's Jackson and Addee's birthdays today! Jackson is 19, and Addallee is 15. 

Most of you probably heard that the Bates took a family ski vacation to Colorado a couple weeks ago. Well, Jackson took a spill on some ice while snowboarding and broke two bones in his arm, resulting in surgery. Let's pray for Jackson as he recovers.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve to our wonderful readers! We hope you will remember the true reason for the holiday, which is the birth of Jesus.

Do you recall watching the premiere of Bringing Up Bates on New Years Day 2015? That means the six-year anniversary of the Bates family’s UPtv debut is almost here. When the series began, the five youngest Bates children were itty bitty. Jeb was 2, Judson was 4, Callie was 5, Ellie was 7, and Addee was 8. Now, Jeb is 8, and Addee is 14. Carlin's Rehearsal

The 7th Bates wedding day is almost here! In less than 24 hours, Carlin Bates will be Mrs. Evan Stewart. Family and close friends gathered at the venue earlier today for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. After the festivities, there was decorating and music practicing to be done. The ceremony will take place outside, and the reception will be outside, as well, although there will be a covered area. The Knoxville weather was about 91 and sunny today, and tomorrow will be the same.

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? It's not quite December, but the Bates are ready for the holiday season to begin. In fact, they put up their outdoor Christmas lights at the end of October. (Do you think that's too early?)

Meanwhile back home, Gil spends some quality time with Jud and Jeb by making a seesaw, while Tori and Bobby ponder their upcoming move to Nashville with mixed emotions.
