Carlin's Pregnancy Update

Carlin Stewart is about two months away from her due date with Baby #3. She and Evan Stewart are waiting until their little one arrives to find out the gender. Carlin's doctors decided that she needs to start doing shots twice a day for her blood-clotting disorder, which is something she did during her pregnancies with Layla and Zade. She was also recently told that she needs to have more frequent appointments to monitor the baby. You can find out more in the Stewarts' newest video. 

Pregnancy Update from Carlin Stewart

In late February, the Stewarts shared that they are expecting their third child, due in September. How is Carlin's pregnancy going? In their latest YouTube video, she and Evan sit down to answer questions and give an update, including some details on Carlin's health. They also show off their backyard pool, which they have already opened and used this month.

Layla Turns 2

Happy 2nd birthday to Layla Stewart! Layla is Gil and Kelly Bates' 13th grandchild, and Carlin and Evan's second child will be their 20th.

1st Snow of 2022

The weather on New Year's Day was unseasonably warm in East Tennessee. The Bates saw temperatures in the mid-70s! But like most of the region, the temperature quickly started dropping, and it began to snow. 

Today, they are enjoying the first snow of the year. Layla, who turns two on January 31st, is clearly loving the experience. Carlin is 26 weeks pregnant with Gil and Kelly Bates' 20th grandchild (a boy, in case you missed the Stewarts' announcement). Erin Paine is due with her fifth baby this month, so there should be news to share soon.

Erin Leaves the Boutique

The Bates Sisters Boutique website, which opened for business in April 2019, was founded by Erin Paine, Whitney Bates, and Carlin Stewart. Now, two-and-a-half years later, Erin and Chad Paine have just announced that God is leading them to focus on other business and ministry ventures, so Erin is leaving the boutique. Kelly Bates will be jumping into some of the roles that Erin once filled.

Baby Stewart #2 Gender Reveal

Carlin Stewart is 20 weeks pregnant with her second child, due April 9th, 2022. Members of the Bates and Stewart families gathered at the Bates Sisters Boutique yesterday for the gender reveal party. Carlin and Evan threw darts at black balloons until they hit the one filled with colored powder, and they just uploaded a video. Katie's Bachelorette Trip

A couple days ago, several of the Bates women flew into Orlando for Katie's bachelorette trip. Kelly and all but one of Katie's bridesmaids are staying in a house with a pool while they celebrate the bride-to-be. Katie's bridesmaids are Josie, Carlin, Alyssa, Whitney, Addallee, Kayla (Travis' sister), and Caitlin (a friend). Everyone but Kayla was able to make it. 

The ladies have enjoyed lots of girl time, including massages, facials, a fancy meal at the Cheesecake factory, and pottery making.

Wedding Shower for Katie

When you are a member of the Bates family, attending showers is a regular activity. It seems like someone is always having a baby or preparing for a wedding. Yesterday, the ladies gathered to celebrate Katie's upcoming marriage to Travis Clark (on December 3rd). They hosted the shower at the Bates Sisters Boutique.

Izzy Is Back!

This weekend has been a happy one for the Stewarts. Earlier this summer, Carlin and Evan sent their dog, Izzy, away for a six-week doggy boot camp. She arrived home and was reunited with her best friend, Layla.

Stewarts Expecting Baby #2

Carlin and Evan Stewart just made a big announcement. They are expecting their second child! The doting parents of Layla Stewart, who turns two in January, unveiled the news today. You can read all the details on the UPtv website. They haven't yet told fans the exact due date, just that the baby is set to arrive in 2022. This reveal comes six days after Erin and Chad Paine shared that Erin is pregnant with their fifth little one.

Evan Turns 26

Happy 26th birthday to Evan Stewart! Did you know that Evan's middle name is Patrick? He is the fifth in a line of six children, and he and Carlin are almost three years apart in age.

4th of July at the Farm

Spending 4th of July at Papa Bill and Mama Jane's farm in South Carolina is a Bates family tradition. In past years, we have posted photos from their get-togethers, including in 2017 and 2019. Stewarts Celebrate 2 Years

Yesterday was Alyssa and John's 7th wedding anniversary, and today is Carlin and Evan Stewart's 2nd anniversary. Happy anniversary, Stewarts! Coincidentally, Carlin's best friend, Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth, will celebrate her 4th anniversary tomorrow.

On Monday, Katie and a few of the Bates ladies went wedding dress shopping in Florida. Carlin and Layla ended up staying with Alyssa and John, and Evan was able to buy a cheap flight from Knoxville to join them yesterday. When you have a pool, which the Websters do at their new house, it isn't hard to convince family to visit!

Last week, we shared an interview that Erin Paine did with Us Weekly about her health struggles and how they will impact her ability to grow her family. Whitney Bates and Carlin Stewart also joined in for a short segment of that interview to discuss their family plans. 

When asked if they will have 19 children like Gil and Kelly Bates, Whitney and Carlin both said no. Whitney is expecting No. 4 in June, and Carlin has 13-month-old Layla. Both ladies said they do want "a few" more children, though. For the full interview, follow the link below. Quarantining with the Bates
