  1. Their dresses are beautiful but I've noticed that the Duggar and Bates brides just wear their hair the same as they do on an ordinary day. It seems strange that they don't do something special with their hair on their wedding day.

    1. Amazing how rude people think their opinions are relevant

    2. There needs to be tolerance for differing opinions. That's what a comments section is for.

    3. I can see what you are saying. You are just making an observation. She did make a beautiful bride though. Everyone s style is different. Everyone has different tastes. Her gown was beautiful.

    1. Hi Kylie,

The bridesmaids dresses were from http://daintyjewells.com/ and Michael's dress was from Petals & Lace in Nashville, TN.

    2. professionals will tell you that you should not really do anything drastically different with your hair on your wedding day because years later you will wonder what the heck you did . They are all beautiful girls and it is their choice

  3. It was a beautiful wedding .the bride and groom were obviously meant for each other.

  4. I also think that it would look nice if the bride has her hair up, a nice bun or stuff like that. Especially the waist-long hair (like most of the Duggar and Bates girls have) gives you so many opportunities to make a nice bun or oter kind of hair-do... well, this is my opinion. I liked some of Brandon's sisters' look in the wedding as they had their hair up.

    1. Everyone's different. Look how they all wore different style wedding gowns. And how each wedding partied attire was different. I think that matters the most.Don't you ?

    2. Yes. I'm sorry that I caused bad feelings. That was not my intention. I only expressed my opinion - I'm from a different country and different culture, here brides usually have their hair up. They go to hairdressers and have them do their hair and get the veil on. So that is how I'm used to see the brides. Of course some wear their hair down here, too, but all of my friends have had their hair up for the wedding. I don't know why. It might be a cultural thing, "this is the way people have always done it" and not much thought about it, like these girls having their hair down might be a tradition. I tried to comment and clear that up before, but the comment was not published. So I hope this will be.
Michaella looks absolutely beautiful and stunningly happy in all the pictures and videoclips from her wedding (I can't watch the whole episode in my country). I admire her, she's beautiful inside and out. I'm happy for Brandon and Michaella and I like everyone in the Bates family. All of them looked great in the wedding. I hope that people understand I was not trying to be rude, it was just a thing that caught my eye and I commented. Even if the comment is not all about praise it can still be honestly well meaning and just a comment. Opinions can differ and that does not mean I hate the people. Of course the main thing is that the newlyweds are happy and will live happily ever after. :) I'm happy for them and have commented about that in another posts.

      Sincerely,

ps. I hope that what I wrote is understandable, English is not my mother tongue. There is a typo in my first comment, of course it should be "other kind of hair-do". :)

  6. Why is everyone commenting on people's hair? It's just hair. Focus on the joy of the occasion. Are you just shallow Christians or not even following God's book? Before you worry about someone's hair maybe you should look at your own heart.

    1. I don't think they mean any harm. No one is really judging. They are just commenting. No harm.

    2. No one is shallow. That is harsh. They don't mean to sound nasty, mean or cruel. It's no big deal.

    3. I understand what they are getting at. We think a young girl should look elegant on her wedding day. Some people think a bride should go all out. Well, I didn't and I wish I had. I did my hair myself and it had flopped by the time the service started. Oh well. You watch "Say Yes to the Dress" and every young woman wants something different. Some like princess bridal gowns, other's want lace. But all weddings turn out beautiful because the bride is always radiant. Beaming from ear to ear.

    4. Why are people commenting on her hair ? Ha. Because that is what women do.ha. but true. We always have something to say.

    5. Gil and Kelly looked so happy. Michael's little sister looked so sad. That was heart breaking. Brandon and Michael were so happy. May God bless them and may they have many years together.

  7. Her reason for doing so is probably the same as mine was: I wanted to look like ME and be ME on my wedding day. My husband liked my hair the way I always wore it and I decided to do the same the day I got married. theres no harm in doing that. I each bride is different and we shouldn't judge that. She looked beautiful.

    1. I wore my hair down too on my wedding day. I was young and wasn't into fashion. I was plain. Now I wish I had done some things differently. But I was so shy and didn't like too much fuss made over me. I don't think anyone is judging Micheal. We all love her. They are only commenting. I think everyone will agree...She made a beautiful bride.

  9. What was the name of the song played right before she came down the aisle and who played it? The one with the violin.
