  1. Whoohoo!!! Congratulations John,Alyssa and girls. Hope and pray for a safe and healthy pregnancy. Didn't think you could have anymore due to Alyssa's heart condition. But Praise the Lord! Hope it might definitely be a boy this time John. My cousins wife in Texas is having a baby in February 2021 too and also hope it will be a boy. And it was a surprise too to find out because the last time she had a baby, she got severe Bells Palsy and never fully recovered from it,so we thought because of it, she didn't want to do it again. But the Lord was gracious to them in that situation too like He was with you guys. God Bless. And again, Congratulations. Haley P. from Colorado.

    1. If they’d want a child so badly , you could think they’d finally adopt. But they aren’t so I’m not sure I’d call her poor as obviously they haven’t adopted any child.

    2. @2:30

I was thinking the same thing. She and Brandon actually seem happy with their lives.

    1. Alyssa has said on the show she thinks she could handle 8-10 children but not 19, she said "but we'll see". That was before the heart issue which is cured now.

    2. 12:48 - she later said that if her 4th was a girl she would not have anymore kids.

  8. Congratulations to John and Alyssa!
(I was under the impression that Alyssa wouldn't have any more children or at least, delay a pregnancy because of her heart condition).

    1. She did delay it. Zoey and this baby will be almost 3 years apart while her other kids were under 2 years apart.

    1. I remember Alyssa saying she "do TEN" in the early years of her marriage.

    2. I have an episode where she said she would like 6 kids, but said “we’ll see”.

    3. One time she was talking to Mama Jane and she hinted she would stop at 4. But then said she wasn't having as many as her mom, which leave a lot of room for quite a few kids. I think Alyssa seems to prefer a more quiet lifestyle which having very many more children would not allow. As she says, "we shall see."

  13. That's nice. Allie will be almost 6 by then, Lexi turns 4 in January, Zoey 3 in March, they will be able now to help with the baby.

    1. A three-year old, four year old, and six year old can help with an infant?

  14. A 6 year old helping with an infant? No, just no. These are little children. Let them have their childhood and go out to play. Responsibilities of siblings are for the parents to own up to.

    1. You think a child who is never taught age-appropriate responsibility and is only playing is suddenly going to want to work and have responsibilities when they get older instead of continuing their lifestyle of entertainment? This is why we have adults who don't want to work.

    2. You can teach your kids responsibility at a young age and still give them plenty of time to play. It's healthy to learn that everyone in a family can help others and not put everything on mom and dad. It can build self-confidence and camaraderie.

  15. Is there something wrong with Alyssa's eye in this picture? It looks strange.

  16. Hello. I watch Bringing up Bates in the UK. I find it a bit holier than thou, and slightly sickly at times. But I still watch it! If anyone reading this would like a pen friend, or email friend, I would love an american friend! Sally. Age 55.
