Zach and Whitney

Happy Monday! We thought we would share this new (and incredibly adorable) photo of Zach and Whitney. These two are preparing to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary in December. And you may be surprised to hear that the snapshot below was taken by Bradley Bates. Not even six years old, and already a skilled photographer.

  1. Those are some high heels. Wow they’ve really deviated from their conservative dressing. What I don’t get is pants are supposed to be not ok, but high heels are? I’m confused.

    1. So she has stated in the past that she wears skirts yo the bates home out of respect but do not follow any of the bates clothing rooms otherwise.

    2. What about heels isn’t modest? It’s just shoes. The Duggars have said that there are no modesty rules when it comes to shoes, I bet it’s the same for the Bates.

    3. Doesn't she look great?

    4. And I was thinking they’re not that high.

    5. I am a Baptist and I belief in birth control and pants and heals and tank tops. Good doesn't care what you wear as long as you are strong to him.

    6. The Bible does actually have a few things to say about clothing.

  2. That’s why I just LOVE Michaela, she is so humble, and doesn’t dress in high heels and all
The trendy stuff. She stays true to who she is. Not that there’s anything wrong with high heels, but it does bring attention to your legs, which is I guess why they don’t wear pants, because it draws attention to your bottom half? I’ve just seen a lot of these girls dressing modest and they are slowly changing to dressing different. I wouldn’t walk into my local grocery store in that outfit.

    1. And some would say that's too conservative girl them as her dress touches her knees. She's never stated she follows their dress code except when she visits the bates home.

Personally, I love heels. I work in flats all day and heels feel so good at the end of the day. I have everything from 1/2" kitten heels to 3 inch heels and, thus, have gone to the grocery store in heels similar to her. To each their own.

    2. how is wearing trendy clothes not staying true to who you are? just curious what your thought process is there. or it could be that I just mis-interpreted your comment

    4. Maybe Whitney is true to who she is by dressing the way she does. I don't find anything about her wardrobe choices to be offensive orout of line. She didn't grow up in the Bates' household and their same rules about clothes.

    5. Michaela stays true to who she is, and Whitney stays true to who she is. One person is not more or less than the other for how they dress - just different and both amazing women. And that is wonderful!

  7. So now that she's selling modest dresses, she wears dresses that show her knees? So much hypocrisy in these families these days. They are no longer authentic.

    1. I, personally, believe that a dress or skirt can be modest yet be above my knees

And I think the girls are being authentic. They wear different clothes now than they used to. How is that not being authentic?

    2. Oh my gosh, her knees! What a scandal!

    3. 🙄 I don't recall Whitney ever making a modesty statement.

    4. There's nothing immodest about showing knees, lol, that's probably a dress from her shop she's wearing.

  10. She looks great! If people or men have an issue with how she dresses, that’s their problem, not hers.

  12. Whitney is lovely! All the girls in that family are lovely and they all look classy however they are dressed. Whether it's a dress or a skirt, either longer or knee length, or pants, it's all still modest and in good taste. And there isn't anything wrong at all with a knee length dress or high heal shoes either. All the Bates gals are beautiful inside and out! Zach & Whitney are so perfect for each other and I love their little family. Bradley did an awesome job taking this photo! Love the whole family!

  14. It’s crazy to me that so many people are upset by her clothes, if they want to wear whatever it’s their body their choice

  15. Way to go Bradley! Such a great picture. He's growing up around cameras and other a/v equipment and he might be a famous photographer someday. I absolutely love their little family and all of the others too. Their style of dress has definitely changed since seeing them on 19 Kids And Counting, but they are still conservative. They just have alot more money now and don't have to exclusively shop in thrift stores anymore. God Bless them all. 🙏
