Webster Baby #4

In case you missed our earlier post, Alyssa (Bates) Webster is pregnant with her fourth child! The new addition is due February 17th, 2021. Fun fact: All of the Webster daughters have birthdays in the first four months of the year, and this baby will be no different. A quote from the couple and more announcement photos can be found on the UPtv website. According to the Websters, Alyssa's heart condition is now cured.

  3. I suspected she was pregnant months ago when I saw her and her family's Easter picture. She, like many of the Bates and Duggar women, hold a child or a bouquet of flowers in front of themselves, trying to "hide" their condition.

    1. She is only 12 weeks along so it’s not possible that she was pregnant on that Easter photo! You would’ve done well to check the calendar before you made that comment....

    2. Alyssa wasn't hiding anything on Easter Sunday since she wasn't pregnant then. Her due date isn't until mid-February.

    3. Nope she wasn’t pregnant at Easter. And she stays tiny for a long time, so she wouldn’t have had to hide anything anyways.

    4. She's not due until mid February. She wasn't pregnant on Easter. She told John about it on Father's Day. (It's on their vlog.)

    5. She wasn't pregnant at Easter if she's due Feb 17, 2021.

    6. She wouldn't have been pregnant at Easter, though.

    7. Wouldn't she have been barely pregnant? Doubt she would have been showing back then.

    8. She wouldn't have even been pregnant at Easter if she's due in February.

    9. On their vlog Alyssa showed us the test results and said that "last month" she thought she might be pregnant but wasn't. Then "this month" she took the test on the day she showed it to us and it was positive. She said she was going to tell John on Father's day, which probably was within a few days of the video. Later on the same video when John opened his gifts and got the plaque they said "shall we tell the girls?" and then said no, they'd wait until they announced it to everyone because the girls would blurt it out to everyone. So, based on that, I'm thinking she got pregnant in May and just reached her first trimester and announced. That would work with a February due date as well.

  7. Didn’t she have heart trouble? Pregnancy is hard on the heart. Bet they wanted a boy.

    1. She is young and took care of the heart issue. She will be fine.
Either a girl or boy will be a wonderful blessing to their family.

    2. I don't recall seeing John and Alyssa ever have a gender reveal party. It seems like they just have a name chosen and we can all tell from that what it is.

    1. Alyssa’s pregnancy doesn’t take a baby away from another sister. As someone who lived infertility it always bothered me when people made someone’s else’s pregnancy about me. A baby is a blessing.

  17. I hope it is a boy as well for them but the most important thing is to have a healthy baby and mommy.

  18. After all of these messages hoping that it’s a boy makes me feel sorry for that poor little baby if it turns out to be a girl. The gender doesn’t matter as long as it’s a healthy baby and Alyssa is safe.

    1. Same. Boys are overrated anyway.

    2. I TOTALLY agree. Some couples that can’t have children would be thrilled to have either a girl or boy. Be happy with what God gives you. It’s a blessing

    3. I am certain they will be happy with a girl or boy. There is nothing wrong with wanting a boy and no one should make them feel bad for wanting a boy. I only had boys and would have enjoyed the experience of having a girl.

  19. 1 baby on January, 1 in february , 1 in march and 1 in april for Alyssa ! Congrats

    1. Baby would have to come at least twelve days late to be born in March,I know it's not impossible but quite rare,Whitney was induced at seven days late with her first,it depends on the doctor but most will let the pregnancy go for a maximum of ten days over due date.

      Delete
    2. 5:39: It is Zoey whose birthday is in March. Allie was born in April 2015, then Lexi in January 2017, then Zoey in March 2018. The new baby is due in February.

  22. My best wishes to John & Alyssa - they can be sure of one thing - many people will be praying for a healthy baby following an easy pregnancy.
I'm sending good thoughts their way.

  24. Wow! There's a lot of misogynists on here. Why is everyone hoping for the baby to be a boy? Do you all really view girls so negatively?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think calling misogyny is a huge stretch. People her are just hoping for a boy because they already have three girls. I mean what couple does not wish for their second child to be the opposite gender of their first.

      Delete
    2. They already have three girls,so it would be nice for them to have a boy to see how different it is to raise a son. I'm sure if they have a girl it will be loved just like the other daughters are loved.

      Delete
    3. Why would you leap to that conclusion? They already have three girls.

      Delete
    4. Girls are a wonderful blessing but they have three. Nothing wrong with wanting to have a boy now. No guilt trip!!! Boys are not more value but they are the ones that carry the family name forward.

      Delete
    5. My question is why the OP is such a misandrist.

      Delete
    6. 10:26, all ready have three girls? So according to you there is such a thing as too many girls?

      Delete
    7. 9:21, no, that was not my point. I didn't say they had too many girls. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to have both girls AND boys.

      Delete
    8. It is definitely first world problems to be so fixated on whether it is a boy or girl. How about just being happy with a healthy baby and healthy mom? People are too complacent in thinking that is a given. And to the poster who said only boys can pass on the family name, well welcome to the 2000s where couples hyphenate their name or give one child the father's name and one child the mother's name etc. There is no 'wrong' or 'right' way, especially considering there were no family names in Biblical times.

  30. Brandon has a job. Why did you think he doesn't? He works remotely for the IBLP in multimedia. They moved back to TN for Michael's schooling and because he had the job flexibility to work anywhere.
