Tori's Beach Bash

On tonight's all-new, hour long episode of Bringing Up Bates, the Bates ladies take a beach vacation (photos below), Bobby moves into the apartment that he and Tori will live in after the wedding, Gil and some of the guys race go-karts, and the family has a behind-the-scenes 100th episode celebration.

Lots of exciting footage coming your way at 9pm ET/8pm CT! Be sure to come back to the blog after the show for our written recap.

  1. I thought when you got married you dropped your maiden name & took your husband's last name. I think we all know who the married "Bates" daughters are. Time to just use their married name unless they want to retain the maiden name.

    1. It helps those who are new to this blog as they get to know who is who. It is being considerate to them.

    2. I think Ellie wrote once that she does that for people searching on the internet. Otherwise, she could just write Erin, for instance, and no last name, as we all know who everyone is. In real life, I imagine the girls just go by their married names.

  3. How sweet it was to have a girls trip planned. Unfortunately it was just more of the same from Tori- I'm tired, I'm bored, It's not me... Geez-oh-peets! I'll be happy when we move on from the wedding topic. I'd be thrilled and grateful if anyone planned all that for me!

    1. Hopefully, by now, Tori is doing better with her emotional/ social issues and is adjusting well to married life and adult responsibilities.

    2. She was so disengaged from it all even though it was for her. Odd behavior.

    3. I got the sense Tori won't be on the show much after marriage. Seem she hated having her wedding offered up for public consumption and rebelled in a passive aggressive way since she likely couldn't just refuse without breaking her contract and affecting the other Bates negatively.

  4. It was so much fun to watch the girls enjoying Anna Maria Island. My home is 5 miles from there and I am on the island at least once a week. I'm sorry they saw so many jellyfish. That's very unusual! One minor correction, though. The large body of water they visited was the Gulf of Mexico, NOT the ocean. The ocean is on the other side of Florida.

  5. Would it have been so hard for Tori to have taken a small interest in the shell painting activity and at least just sat with her family instead of on the couch with a phone in her hand??

    1. I really wouldn't be surprised if it's later revealed that Tori didn't want her courtship and wedding to be on TV in the first place, and had to be talked into it by her other family members.

I have seen my share of people working "under protest" and doing the bare minimum required by their job description to avoid being fired, but making it very obvious that they have issues with management. And that's the attitude I get from most of her appearances this season.

  7. It annoyed me that Tori did not paint the sanddollars with her family. Ok, she does not like crafts and is not artistic, but she could have just put the date on one for a keepsake. AND SHARED THE TIME WITH THE LITTLE SISTERS/MAKE A MEMORY FOR THEM.
She is not a team player in many ways.

  8. I was thrilled to see that they were staying in Holmes Beach, that is where my dad lives.
