Did you enjoy last night's show? We know you all have been eagerly awaiting Tori Bates and Bobby Smith's wedding episode. We are thrilled to announce that it's less than two weeks away! Below are the episode times and summaries for the next two Thursdays. As always, be sure to check our Showtimes page for the latest details.

Thursday, April 19
8pm: Another Beautiful Season of Blessings
9pm: Countdown to 'I Do' NEW!
The Countdown has begun! Before Tori and Bobby say, “I Do,” there’s a million things left to do! Tori has her final wedding dress fitting, and she sits down with Carlin to come up with a hairstyle for her special day. Meanwhile, Gil, Nathan, and the middle boys get to work on cutting and trimming trees for Tori and Bobby’s “winter wonderland” wedding decor. Will the boys' lack of progress put Kelly Jo in a panic? Meanwhile, with Baby #3 on the way, the Paines take a family trip to the Doctor for Erin’s ultrasound. In honor of their 30th anniversary, Gil and Kelly Jo have a memorable date night and attend Lawson’s charity Christmas concert. But when Nathan jumps up on stage unannounced, the family is in for an unexpected surprise!

8pm: Countdown to 'I Do'
9pm: Tori's Winter Wonderland Wedding NEW!
It’s a very “Marry” Christmas for the Bates, as Tori and Bobby’s wedding day is here! The family hustles to take care of last minute “winter wonderland” wedding decorations, and Tori and Bobby begin to prep for their California honeymoon. The night before the big day, the family hosts a chaotic rehearsal dinner, which is to be expected when you have a wedding party as large as Tori and Bobby's. When the big day finally arrives, everyone is full of emotion, especially Gil as he prepares to give another daughter away. And once the vows are exchanged, it’s time for the couple’s first kiss! Will it be everything they've been waiting for? And with any Bates wedding, you have to wonder, who’s next?

  1. The Thanksgiving episode was beautiful, fun, and sentimental. It was such a joy to watch, I am thankful for the Bates family and how they share their faith.

  3. About Gil and Kelly's 30th anniversary events...why no mention of them flying to the Bahamas with Jim Bob & Michelle only a few days before Christmas? Is this show mostly fantasy or what? Only show what you 'want to show'?

    1. What kind of comment is this? Maybe they wanted their 30th Anniversary to be for them and not the world.

    2. For one thing, the show goes chronologically and this week's episode was only on Thanksgiving. For another thing, they can't show every single thing the family does. Maybe they filmed the Bahamas trip, and maybe they didn't. I wouldn't blame the Bates for wanting to take a trip without a film crew. How does it make a fantasy show if the show is all about showing their real life? They have to pick and choose somewhere.

    3. It wasn’t filmed. They usually only ask them questions about things that were filmed.... not what else have you been doing that we didn’t film.... Also their anniversary trip was after the wedding which hadn’t even been shown yet. They posted pictures about their anniversary trip. They can’t put their whole lives in the show. The shows are usually only half hour episodes.

    4. All TV shows have budgets, and I think the budget for the Bates show is not as large as for the Duggar show, as UPTV has a much smaller audience than TLC. Probably enough to film a date night, but not enough to pay for a film crew's expenses to follow the Bates to the Bahamas. No international honeymoons for the Bates either.

Or as Sherry points out, there is a filming rights conflict with TLC. The Bates get edited out of the Duggar weddings and vice versa, for that reason. I doubt either network filmed that trip because it would be too much of a hassle (and expense) to edit the other couple out.

    5. Oh wow- Is this turning into another "travel mania" production like the Duggars became? I've noticed that anytime a reality TV show takes off with a large audience, the family starts to travel non-stop. I only watch because I like the kids and don't have to hear constant "beeping" of inappropriate language. It always seems to go from rags to riches.

    6. 1:05, Gil and Kelly have always gone on a trip on their wedding anniversary; they’ve said this many times, it’s not “travel mania”. And what would be so wrong about them going on trips they could afford when they previously could not? Vacation is normally a good family bonding experience.

  5. I'm so sad that the wedding is airing on the 26th. I'll be on vacation and won't have access to UPtv! I've been looking forward to watching it for so long!!

  6. I noticed two extra females at the Bates Thanksgiving episode. I am guessing (only a guess!) that the brunette sitting next to Alyssa is her friend Bethany Chavez. That leads me to believe the blonde MAY be John's sister Tori. Am I right? Are either one of them dating Lawson or Nathan? Just having fun guessing. They could be totally different friends or even other relatives, but I did think the brunette looked like Bethany that, I think, was in Alyssa's wedding. I hope you can let us know. Thanks. It was a great episode.

    1. John's sister Tori is not a blond I don't think. What blonde were you talking about?

  7. Ever heard that the Duggar's show is on a DIFFERENT network and possibly that may play into what UPtv decides to put on their show?

  10. This isn't a review on the show, but an encouragement to Michael and Brandon. I had several miscarriages and then with all the fertility tests I had we were told that the percentage of me ever getting pregnant was 1% because my left ovary was completely blocked and my right one was 99% blocked. We still continued to pray and asked for God's will. 13 yrs later I became pregnant with my daughter. I don't want you to ever give up hope. God is in control and I will keep you in my prayers.

  11. Chranden- If you'd never conceived, would that have been God's will, too? My husband and I were in the same boat, in that I was told there was a miniscule chance of getting pregnant. I stopped praying for a miracle and moved on. After a few years, we took the bull by the horns and started building our family through adoption. I'm glad for you that your hopes were fulfullled by having a biological child. I'm just not accepting of the idea that God is control.

    1. God IS in control. He meant for you to have those children you adopted.
