Bates Visit Noah's Ark

The Bates finally got around to making the three-hour drive up to Williamstown, Kentucky, to visit the ARK Encounter, something they have been wanting to do since it opened this summer. For those who haven't heard, the ARK Encounter is a life-sized replica of Noah's Ark. The inside of the structure is a multi-story museum that takes a few hours to walk through.

Here are some snapshots from the Bates' visit:

Here's a stormy photo of the ARK that Ellie (coauthor of the Bates Family Blog) took in August:

    1. Lol There's a bench behind them in the first picture. They probably jumped off of it 😉

  2. I also visited in August. The Ark is spectacular and well worth traveling there to see. Top quality exhibit. Brings the magnitude of the ark to life. Much larger than I could have imagined.

    1. I checked, the real Ark took 120 years, but the one in WK took less the 2 years, and cost 75 million$!!!

  4. For a family who only a few years ago preached modesty and keeping their knees covered, that sure is a short skirt on Carlin! They used to always make a huge deal about their standards, but I suppose they need to keep up their more relaxed, less strict image to make themselves palpatable to viewers.

    1. Carlin was leaning over to one side, I bet when she straighten up, her skirt was level, and under her knees!!! Carlin, is a very fashionable, and has always had unique style from the rest of the clan. She is always appropriately dressed, so next time you're going to make that kind of comment, make sure the skirt is level, on the ground, and only when there is really prove!!!!!!! Take care!!!!
