Bates Christmas Trees 2018

Three of the Bates families picked out their Christmas trees this week. Zach and Whitney and the Paines went together, and it was their first year buying real trees. Down in Florida, the Websters carried out their annual Christmas tree excursion with sister Addallee Bates.

    1. I wish the same as you. Think that is why I enjoy the Bates. They are my TV family.

    2. MO- I wish I had that kind of family too. My family moved to a different country when I was young so I wasn't close to my extended family. I hope Erin and Zack stay in the Knoxville area and don't move to Nashville. :o)

    3. @ 1:32... Yes they are my TV family too. They are always wanting to spend time together and make memories but mine they to do the opposite.

@ 5:02... that sucks you aren't close to extended family. Growing up mine were like extra siblings since my mom watched all of us kids/cousins but since we are all adults it's not so close anymore.

    4. I wish I had that too. There is only my brother, my 5 kids and myself left in my family. My brother never married. I have 3 cousins left, but they have distanced themselves years ago.

  2. When I was growing up we went to the pasture and cut our live trees down-we had 12 ft ceilings and dad would have to cut the bottom off more than once for it to stand up in the living room-they dont look that tall around other trees-loved the smell of the fresh pine-always put green food color to make it look livelier-great memories!!

  5. Love the Spirit of Christmas
hands down my favourite time of year!!
My prayer is for Jesus to remain the centre of this busy season for us all, the we can remain steadfast in our prayer for hope, salvations and for dry bones to come alive in revival in the name of Jesus .
    Blessings from NZ

  6. No one knows for sure when Christ was born. If he was not a myth, but a person advocating for peace and love, I doubt he'd care that we celebrate his birth. Christmas, or any manmade holiday, is what you make it. My family doesn't attend a church, but we celebrate being together and the love we have for each other. We also make it a point to give of ourselves to our community. I don't concern myself with the myth of salvation... my own or anyone else's.

    1. 1:22PM: Why do you follow this family then? Are you looking for faith, or are you here to make fun of people who do have faith?

    2. 1:22pm...you need to educate yourself. Better to keep your mouth shut & be thought a fool then open it & leave no doubt... Even secular scholars contend that there was a real, historical Jesus.. He was actually born in March.. Look it up.. CHRISTmas is called CHRISTmas for a reason, whether you like it or not..One day you will be on bended knee before Jesus & you can explain to him why you think salvation is a myth..

    3. Unknown@6:59- WOW. You need to change your aporoach. I seriously doubt you’re going to change anyone’s mind or convert them with such insults and scorn. That kind of rant gives Christianity a bad name.

    4. 1:22 -- That's pretty rude to call what many of us believe a "myth."

  7. I never had extended family near by either. It was just
my parents and 2 sisters for christmas. My cousins on my mom's side were older then me and my sisters.
My cousins on my dad's side were older too and married with kids.
