New Bates Music

Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart
Carlin and Evan Stewart

Both the Bates and Stewarts have family members who are involved in music, whether part-time or full-time. Like most of her siblings, Carlin sings and plays music, although she is not one of the ones who is in the business of releasing music to the public. But that is about to change. She and Evan were in the studio yesterday, laying the vocals for their very first single as a couple. It's their wedding song, which is written by Evan. Stay tuned for details!

Kelly and Lawson also went with the newlyweds. Kelly is determined to be on-hand for all her children's exciting milestones and moments, and Lawson is never one to miss out on something exciting.

Lawson is also working on some music of his own. New songs are in the works, and he says they will be released soon.

Also wanted to mention that UPtv took a break this week and did not air a new episode of Bringing Up Bates. The season will resume next week.

  7. The 'seasons' are short enough as they are. Why skip a week in the midst of it? Strange.

    1. I don't know why, but I'm glad they retain the first episode of the season, since my DVR didn't record it the first time!

  8. The episode that aired here was the one where Trace introduced his young lady to the family and she helped judge the love day contest. Wasn't that a new one?

  9. Unfortunately Halloween fell on Thursday this year and people wouldn't be in front of their TVs(I personally don't recognize or celebrate Halloween as a holiday!) I SOOO look forward to each episode, even the morning reruns, and am ALL FOR the network ordering EACH EPISODE as 1 hour ones!! I hope they will one day!! I LOVE this family!! They are so blessed to be members of the Bates family or in-laws of them!

    1. I think it's a good thing that people get out of their houses and away from their TV's, spend time with their families and enjoy celebrating something- whether it's Halloween or something else.

  10. Halloween was Thursday night. I guess the network figured that there would not be much of an audience that night.
