'Bringing Up Bates' Schedule Change

UP has made a slight change to its schedule. Although the original plan was to air Michael and Brandon's wedding this Thursday, the network has decided to delay another week. But don't worry, it's for a good reason.

Tune in to UP this Thursday at 9pm ET/8pm CT for "Headed to the Altar," a one-hour special of Bringing Up Bates that will give viewers a look back at Michael and Brandon's courtship and engagement (video preview below). The episode will also show never-before-seen footage of the engagements of Zach & Whitney Bates and Erin & Chad Paine. The big Bates-Keilen wedding will air next week.

  1. I wonder why Alyssa and John's engagement isn't being shown along with Zach and Whitney and Erin and Chad?

    1. Hi Alissa,

If Erin decides to do another hair video, rest assured that we will post it to our blog. :)

    1. I agree! I was looking forward to watching the wedding this week! Now we have to wait another whole week to see it. I just don't understand. If your a fan we already watched the all the moments leading up to the wedding through out season one and two so why do we have to watch them again? I've been wanting to see the wedding since they got married back in August. I LOVE the Bates, bu am not happy about this choice on making us wait longer to see the wedding. *sigh*

    2. Quick complaining. I'm glad they are waiting another week to show the wedding.

We might see Ellie and Mr.Handsome and Lilly at the wedding of Michael & Brandon.

  6. Be careful, UP. Learn from the mistakes of TLC. Viewers were extremely annoyed when TLC dragged out Jill's and Derick's wedding until the end of the season. The Bates family is full of exciting characters. Please do not do time-filler/waster episodes. Yes, it would be interesting to see clips and hear stories from the previously married couples. HOWEVER, that should have been done in Seasons 1 and 2 - or later in this season. Viewers are happy for Michaela and Brandon and shouldn't have to wait 6 months to see their wedding. Also, Brandon and Michaela should not have to wait to share. Please do not detract from their special day. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Keilen!

    1. I agree! They must do it to keep anticipation up but I think the family is interesting enough to carry the show to success. Making viewers wait just annoys us and that can lead to loss of interest. Hope this isn't starting a trend with the show. Anyways I'm still excited to see the episode!

    2. True. Loss of interest = loss of viewers. Loss of viewers = loss of money. Loss of money = No show.

  7. Why to people always complain. I glad it's another week I haven't watch the new season yet. Been catching up on my show I typed at Christmas time since I was gone. I hope I started watch the Bates soon.

  8. This is taking on the earmarks of another show, along with the reptitive weekly clips throughout the shows. Please, please don't go there. Bringing Up Bates was a standout show last year. Please keep it that way. I realize the switch could be made because there is a big debate on tonight at the same time. Just hoping this switch will not become standard procedure for my favorite show on tv.
