A New Mrs. Bates

It has been just over nine months since we first posted about Nathan's girlfriend, Esther Keyes. Viewers watched her meet the family on an episode of Bringing Up Bates that aired in April, and the pair was engaged on May 22nd. We shared the video clip from UPtv a month later.

Now, Nathan and Esther are just a few days away from their wedding! Nathan will be the second Bates son to enter into marriage, which means that Gil and Kelly Bates will have two daughters-in-law and six (soon to be seven) sons-in-law.

  1. Maybe she'll keep her maiden name and won't be a "Mrs. Bates."

  5. Yeah the Bates boys seem to need a little time, except Zach but that's good so they make sure it's the right choice!

    3. Some women don't rush, either, if they don't have to.

I'm sure season 11 will have a lot of surprises and will be very interesting. My parents and I can't wait to watch the courtship, engagement, wedding, honeymoon and beyond on Bringing UP Bates. Natasha b

  9. What’s crazy is this week uptv was airing Nathan’s courtship proposal with Ashley. I was thinking what terrible timing. Anyway congrats to Nathan and Esther.

  11. Every time I see a pic of Ester and her siblings; there’s one female that either looks older (maybe mom?) or follows an ultra conservative type of life (her attire looks almost Amish-like). Anyone know her identity?

    1. They are dressed more like Mennonite tradition due to the patterns on their dresses...my guess is they have Mennonite family members.

    2. She has to Menonite sisters

    3. Yes two of her sisters are Mennonite ☺️

    4. It’s her sister. Her family is fundamentalist Christian and from what I’ve read, two siblings are Mennonite. She’s one of 14 so her older siblings could be 20 years older.

  18. Esther looked so much better as a brunette...her natural hair color. Why does she see the need to go bleached blonde like her sisters-in-law?
