Bradley Turns 6

Happy 6th birthday to Bradley Bates! He's the oldest of the 14 Bates grandchild and has two little sisters of his own. Bradley's birth was featured in season one of Bringing Up Bates, so he has truly grown up on reality TV.

  2. We really don't know the effects of having "truly grown up on reality TV." We do know that Bradley's early moments are on the internet forever. Many young adults won't mind this, but some do.

  3. Will "growing up on reality TV" make Bradley a godlier man?

    1. No one is claiming it will, just pointing out the fact.

  4. Poor kid. I'd never put my kid on television (for years!) to make money.

    1. He really looks miserable!?

    2. Well, he's a little boy receiving a lot of attention, barely aware of the filming or what it means. When he's 17, he may feel differently about all this. . .

    3. Yes, his privacy has been taken and he had no say about it. . .Perhaps he'll grow up and become an intensely private person, and hate having his early years on the internet forever.

    4. His privacy has been stolen. Of course, he doesn't understand that now, but one day he will. I can't think of one advantage to have your early childhood displayed on screen, and LOTS of disadvantages.

  10. Happy 6th Birthday Bradley! You have grown up so much and are a very smart boy for your age. You are a good influence on your little sisters and younger cousins. Someday you will be a great godly man just like your dad and grandpa. Whether you become a police officer like your dad or a pastor and/or a tree trimmer like your grandpa or whatever God calls you to be,you will change the world in great ways big and small. I still remember your birth in TV 5 1/2 years ago. But Lilly and Ellie,I do have a question. Is Bradley in Kindergarten since he was born in the middle of the school year or did he start school at an early age and "skip" a grade and in 1st Grade now? The show does not mention in the episode (that I an aware of) that Aunt Tori is teaching the kids school what grade level he is in. I just realized too that Bradley was born 2 days before Halloween. Isn't that weird? With love,Haley P. from Colorado.

  12. That mother-son lunch was creepy. Whitney said some pretty strange things to Bradlee. They should re-evaluate their lifestyle and the things they are teaching their children and some stuff they are exposing them to. This is my opinion and I'm aware some won't agree with me but THIS IS AN OPINION PAGE, so I posted mine. Thank you for posting it.

    2. I think it's more of a fan page than an opinion page.

    3. Just watched it. Absolutely nothing strange or creepy about it unless normal family relationships are foreign to you.

  13. This is a 'fan' page where different comments and opinions are posted in order to perhaps begin a short exchange of ideas and OPINIONS. This is how the page survivies; with clicks....

    1. I wouldn't do it for my own family, but it must be very tempting for a young family. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they prayed about it and felt led to do it?
