Bates Provide Hurricane Relief in FL

Lawson Bates hurricane Michael relief

When disaster strikes, the Bates are always ready to lend a helping hand. Over the weekend, Lawson Bates spent time in the Panama City, Florida, area, providing emergency relief following Hurricane Michael. Residents have been able to return to their homes to survey the damage, but many are still without power. The death toll is now over 30 and could continue to rise.

Please keep the hurricane victims in your prayers, and consider donating supplies or funds to a reputable relief organization. (SamaritansPurse.org is a wonderful one.)

  1. Doesn’t the Bates go somewhere near Panama City for their beach getaways all the time? I always took it that it was in that area somewhere??

  12. They are a great Family! Have given to Samaritan's Purse and Salvation Army, a large portion goes to those in greatest need and they also minister to people, as they help in the restoration.

  16. Thank you Lawson for going out to help with disaster relief in Panama City, Fl. My sister and her family live in Bay County and my family and I live in Marianna Fl. Both were hit hard. We are still without electricity. But we have been so blessed with all that has been given to us at this time. All the donations provided at various churches and stores in our community have left us with more than we normally have stocked up. Our Father in law blessed us with a generator. It's been wonderful to have access to our well water again and be able to cook a hot meal on our griddle. God is so good. And seeing all the trees that have been uprooted in our town just reminds me of His great Power. Our home and my sister's home was kept safe from the storm. Praise God. My 2 older boys will be out of school a total of 20 days. They are returning Monday. My husband works for Lowe's and they have really reached out to their employees. Providing breakfast, lunch and gas and more. Jonathan was able to buy a guitar with the disaster relief money that was given to him from Lowes. A real answer to prayer. Anytime our money is short he will sacrifice his guitar to bring in some extra cash for the family. I am so glad God provided this opportunity for him to gain a guitar through all of this. He writes praise songs and has sung and played guitar with the church praise team many years in the past. But with work hours and no guitar he's stepped down for a while. But is now excited about the opportunity to play again.

The Bates family is such an inspiring family to me. I especially love following the lives of the married couples. And it is encouraging to see the mom's of the young children. My boys are 9,6 and 3 yrs old. (I've also had 3 misscarriages). Thank you for shinning the light of Christ and His ways to a dark world. Your sister in Christ, Katie Kleiser 💕
