  1. The first two sweaters are actually pretty; barring the quality of the sweaters. Will they lose their shape after one washing? Sorry to say, that dress Kelly has on looks like a winter nightgown. Not flattering or pretty at all, IMO.

    1. That's true about the dress, but not just this one a lot of dresses that are in fashion at the moment have frills and tiers and I don't buy them even the flowery ones look like an 80s hand me down dress, when I buy dresses I just stick with plain colored ones, they are the safest bet,I don't want to risk being teased that I am wearing a night dress or granny's clothes, lol!

    2. MO- Nothing against Kelly, but I agree totally. They could have found something more attractive for the senior crowd. These clothes must be made in China- A lot of fabrics that are cheap and uncomfortable. (I'll never order anything from China on Pinterest again) The first 2 outfits looked cute though. :o)

    3. You would hand wash in cold water and dry flat. That how I do mine so they don't lose their shape.

    4. China has so many fine craftsmen and artisans. Why do Americans insist on ordering only their cheapest products? And then blaming China?

    5. I agree. My first thought when I saw Kelly's outfit. It's a nightgown. Not at all becoming to her.

    6. I have so many beautiful clothes from China. Americans only want the cheap stuff, though.

    7. 12:08, have you not seen the prairie dresses in stores this past year? I'm no fan of them, but I do have to admit they look really comfortable and that they can hide things women may be self-conscious of.

    8. Buy American! If these clothes really do come from China, then shame. They should come from the US, or at least a country that is good to their citizens

    9. LOL, Americans don't want to pay the higher prices of good that come from France or England. When a factory treats its workers badly, the prices are lower, and Americans want low prices!

    10. I have many beautiful clothes from China, made from fine materials with great craftsmanship. People in the US buy cheap clothes, though. So that's what stores order from China. Blame the cheapskates, not China. They're just satisfying demand.

  2. I’d love it if they carried less tiered dresses and tops. Cute on the young; not so fabulous on the mature, never to be pregnant again; but in shape girls!

    1. They are young, so they're probably catering more to their age bracket and their opinions of "cute."

  3. I love that Kelly models too - it's an encouragement to those of us who aren't as young or thin as we used to be. Love her smile!

  4. The clothes that the Bates sisters boutique sell are very beautiful, but I will say that some of the things they sell can be a little pricey...

  5. The design is very cute, but the fabrics are horrible- polyester, acrylic...all synthetic junk. No thank you.

  6. I thought I read that the Bates TV program will begin toward the end of this month . Is this correct or could you give me the correct date?
Thank you I really enjoy “Bringing Up Bates”

  7. God bless them for bringing modest clothing that women can wear! Love all of their items, you can tell that they fit all different kinds of body shapes which is great!

  8. You all look darling. Mama included! Well down starting a business gals and many out there aspire to look so lovely!

  9. I wish that were so, but the new season starts in February!

  10. It seems the prairie, oversized look continues to be a thing.
I see a lot of it online and in stores. Hard to find just simple, flattering pieces that don’t overwhelm the figure.

    1. Or rather hid the figure. Which isn’t just for modesty you know. Women who are covered up don’t have to feel so bad about being a little heavier because no one can see the weight.

    2. Do you know how freeing it is to find dresses that don't outline every bump and roll? Bring on the loose dresses!

  11. The clothing is beautiful and prices are similar to what I pay where I live. The styles IMHO are for younger women especially the hats. Kudos to Kelly for supporting her kids she's a beautiful mom.

  12. Thank you Bates Sisters for selling beautiful clothes that are affordable for everyone. You’re doing a great job! May God continue to bless you and your family with His Presence and Protection Always!

    1. The clothes they sell are beautiful! But I don't agree that they're affordable for everyone... The clothes they sell are pretty expensive...

    2. I shop at Goodwill and thrift stores, so they're not affordable for me.

    3. Cute styles for sure, but I agree they are not affordable.

  13. Where are their items produced?

    1. The Bates sisters probably order China's cheapest products, because they want to keep their cost low. You can buy fine quality items in China, really gorgeous things, but you have to be willing to pay more. I don't think Bates Sisters customers are willing to do so.

  14. Maybe they could add pants and leggings, since so many of the married ones are wearing those now.

    1. Maybe some day, but originally they said they wanted to do dresses because it was hard for women to find modest dresses. Which was true a few years ago, but there are more and more places now where you can find them.

    2. The point of their website was for women who have trouble finding dresses that are more modest.

  15. That white sweater looks like it got caught in something. Both of these sweaters look short in the torso, especially the brown one, with extra long sleeves. Kelly’s dress reminds me of a nightgown. These are not flattering garments and do not make me want to see the rest.

    1. That's why that style is called "distressed." I don't get why people think torn jeans or shirts are cute, but whatever. Kelly's dress reminds me of Little House on the Prairie (which is why that style is called a prairie dress).

  16. I have no problem finding appropriate clothing in retail stores. I am not of their belief system, so I also shop for pants, shorts, etc. but they are modest as I don't have the perfect body....so I don't understand someone's inability to "find modest dresses". I have a closet full of them.

    1. 4:28, how nice for you! I am one of the women who has had trouble finding things I like that aren't too short or too low and also something I would actually wear.
