Alyssa's Second Surgery

John Webster and Alyssa Webster arrive at the hospital this morning

On April 11th, Alyssa Webster had her first cardiac ablation surgery, hopeful that it would cure her supraventricular tachycardia (a fancy medical term that essentially means abnormally fast heartbeat). Unfortunately, the condition returned, and she was scheduled for another surgery. That surgery is today.

Alyssa and John arrived at the hospital early this morning, and Gil, Kelly, and Callie Bates came along for support. The surgery is now underway, and we know that the Websters and Bates would appreciate prayers for Alyssa.

    1. I’ve not had it done because I was told that it doesn’t work 65% of the time. I take medication instead. I’m happy it worked for and hope it works this time for Alyssa

  37. Prayers for a successful surgery for Alyssa. My youngest daughter developed SVT when she was 19. After many trips to the hospital, and numerous tests, it was found that she would benefit from a pacemaker. She has had her pacemaker for 11 years now, and is able to work full time, care for 2 special needs children, and go to nursing school. It really changed her life.
