Life in FL and IL

"It was a little shocking when there was snow--a lot of snow--near Thanksgiving."
-Michaella (Bates) Keilen

"Florida is...hot, and then a month of cold, and then hot again."
-Alyssa (Bates) Webster

Michaella, who moved to Chicago, Illinois, last year, and Alyssa, who has lived in Clermont, Florida, since spring 2014, share their favorite things to do in their new cities and what they miss most about East Tennessee.

  1. Welcome to northern weather, Michael! :) If it's gonna be winter, might as well be winter good.

    1. Isn't it funny how people in Florida try to get out for vacations, and people up here in northern New England where I live dream about going to Florida for vacation during the middle of a tough winter? :)

    2. Well that's the thing... EVERYONE loves to go to Florida during the winter to hide from the cold, so our roads and stores are so crowded that nobody whats to leave their house. It is just nicer for us to go up north during the winter to get some snow, visit family, and escape snowbird traffic.

  9. I have yet to be able to watch Alyssa and John's wedding. I cannot find it on ABC or YouTube. Is there anyway to either share the link, or tell me how/where to find it? We didn't get it here when it was originally aired. Thank you

    2. Lily and Ellie, those two links are only the pre wedding info. Is there a video of their wedding? Like we saw for Michaela and Brandon? I know we saw Erin and Chad's wedding on the Duggar show but I have not seen a complete wedding video of Alyssa and John.

    3. those two links are not links to the actual wedding ceremony. One is in a hotel with a tornado coming and the other is only 10 minutes long talking about the wedding. ABC aired the actual wedding of which I have not been able to find or see

    4. Hi there,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. We will keep looking, but from what we can remember, those are the only videos available online.

      Blessings,
