Meet Baby Rhett

Rhett Alan Webster is one week old! For those who would like to see footage from Alyssa's birth and delivery, she and John just uploaded a video to YouTube. It starts off with the expectant parents taking a nighttime walk before heading to the hospital and ends with them loading little Rhett in the car so he can go home to his four adoring sisters.

  1. I will never understand why anyone wants to share something so personal as giving birth. We can enjoy hot dogs without seeing how they're made, for example, and that's far less personal (except maybe for the cow or pig).

    1. The subject does make some squeamish. It's not fun watching someone in pain and it doesn't matter how many epidurals or pain pills you've had - birthing is still painful and messy work.

    2. lol. imo, giving birth is not a spectator sport. i've always said 'if they aren't there during conception, they don't need to be there during delivery'. but then again, i'm a very private person when it comes to anything related to pain

    3. I think we all know why they do this...$$$$

    4. Agreed. I wouldn't even watch my friend's cat giving birth. This is something for doctors and nurses, not the public.

    5. The actual birth wasn't shown, calm down.

    6. @4:44pm,but we didn't see her in pain or screaming when baby came out they spared us all the gory details,we just saw Alyssa in the hospital bed with her mom and husband talking about her epidural ,how long it was taking and her all day sickness and then we seen the baby and the visitors,it was filmed very tastefully but people are still complaining,I mean that's what we're on this blog for,in fact I'm getting annoyed that we are getting so little from the family we use to get a lot more updates, some baby bump pictures of Whitney and Lydia would be welcome but I know it doesn't depend on the blogger but the family,oh well it's their choice.

    1. If they were private what would be the point of this blog,in fact it would have to end as there would be nothing to post, anyway to most people this is the same as chatting to a friend and being updated on their life events, only difference here we get pictures, which is even better in my opinion.

    1. As soon as a woman walks into a hospital in labor, that's enough of the "birth" process for me to see.

  6. Alyssa and John are wonderful parents and their videos are so tastefully done. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us. Naysayers need to stop adding negativity. Rhett is adorable and I can't wait to see him grow up with his sisters! Alyssa, kudos for being a super mom.
