Keilens Visit the Ark with Foster Sons

Michaela and Brandon Keilen are spending their days pouring into the two foster sons whom the Lord has blessed them with. They recently took an impromptu trip to the Ark Encounter with Lawson and Tiffany Bates and uploaded a YouTube video with all the details. 

Keilens' New Year Update

A couple weeks ago, Michaela and Brandon Keilen uploaded a question and answer YouTube video that we missed due to an ice storm and power outage that hit us here in Nashville. The Keilens sit down to share an update on their foster situation. Their case workers continue to be amazed at the progress that their four-year-old foster son has made since he has been living with them. 

Michaela and Brandon say that the state's goal is currently reunification with the boys' birth mother.. When the boys first came under their care, they were told that they would likely have the boys for five or six months, but it has now been about eight months. Despite their concerns for the boys' future and all the unknowns, the Keilens say that they are very happy in this season of life. Near the end of the video, Brandon talks about the importance of not comparing their life to the lives of others and their decision to focus on being grateful for the many blessings that God has given them. 

"We still have questions for the future, and it will be interesting to see what happens and when," says Brandon. "Until we have definite answers, we will wait on the Lord and take it one step at a time."

Keilens Travel to Israel

After having two previously scheduled trips fall through, Michaela and Brandon Keilen were finally able to travel to Israel. It really was the trip of a lifetime. They were sad to leave their foster sons, but the government workers in charge of the boys' case encouraged them to go. Brandon's sister babysat for the week that Michaela and Brandon were away. The Keilens share highlights from their trip in their latest YouTube video. 

Keilens Give a Foster Update

Updates from Michaela and Brandon Keilen are fewer and farther between, as they focus on being foster parents to their two little boys, ages three and infant. They just uploaded a long video to YouTube that includes details on their summer travels and updates on their foster journey. Brandon's trilogy, which is geared towards a middle school reading level, is currently on a huge sale, so if you have been thinking about ordering it, now is the time. 

Keilens on I Love You Day and Upcoming Children's Book

Michaela and Brandon Keilen paused their video creating for the month of January, but they are back. Their latest YouTube video is a Q&A. They discuss I Love You Day, the Bates' annual Valentine's Day party. The family will celebrate later this year, due to Kelly Bates' health scare.  The theme is the '50s. The Keilens also mention the children's book that they are working on, and they provide other updates, too.
