Navy Kate Stewart is six weeks old. When Carlin was about six weeks postpartum with Zade was the point at which she had her first seizure episode. Praise God that her issues seem to have cleared up and have not resurfaced. In their most recent video, Carlin and Evan Stewart share a health update and discuss what Carlin's doctors told her back when she asked about having a third baby. They also talk about the future size of their family and whether they want more children. Carlin says she needs at least one or two more, while Evan says he is on board with more than three but that he doesn't think he "wants to be a 15-passenger van type of guy."

I'm glad Carlin is doing well. I wonder how Erin is doing now.
ReplyDeleteCan we donate to the organization where Nate and Lawson serve? I saw where Lawson was already in the Caribbean
ReplyDeleteDonate to some larger organization that has 100% transparency and doesn't do things that later get reported online by eyewitnesses.
DeleteCarlin says she “needs” one or two more children? Is this for the financial profit her children provide?
ReplyDeleteI don’t understand needing at least one or two more babies. That’s a very odd thing to say regarding children.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily. Maybe she meant something like, "I need one or two more to feel like our family is complete." Maybe she just didn't articulate her whole meaning. It happens.
DeleteShe just had a BABY ! IS IT A RACE ? KIND A like when they get married GEEZ
DeleteCarlin looks very healthy this time around. Little Navy Kate is adorable and it looks like the whole family is enjoying this sweet time. Carlin said something like it feels magical even though you’re so tired. I felt that way after having my two kids. The newborn phase is definitely magical. Such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteSix weeks after having a baby, with a history of a major pregnancy problem, you talk about having more. SMH. Value the ones you have first. They deserve 2 living parents.
ReplyDeleteYou do realize people die from other causes too, cancer, car accidents? You have no guarantees in this life. It would be a different if her doctor advised against it but again that decision would be for her and her husband to make...without judgment from others.
DeleteWhy so aggressive 10:31?
DeleteI agree, this entire family seems to value quantity above anything else. Quantity at any cost.
DeleteIf I and my sisters had histories of seizures, bleeding, or whatever due to pregnancy, I wouldn't take any doctor's advice about getting pregnant again, I'd trust my own motherly instincts and realize that I was endangering myself and possibly denying my existing children of a mother. Doctor's can't 100% predict what your next pregnancy is going to be like. But your instincts to protect yourself and your children are usually 100% right - if you are smart enough to have them and to listen to them.
Delete@3:54 I wholeheartedly agree that people should refrain from judging others and their own personal decisions. The number of children you have or none at all, whether you're straight or LGBTQ, or whether you have a religous faith or are atheist or agnostic.. it's no one else's business!
Delete@1:04 I disagree. Once a child is conceived, it becomes everybody else's business, by degrees. Start with the number of hospitals or birthing centers a community needs, including staffing. Then there's health care, food, and housing. Eventually it impacts the local school system and things like libraries, parks, cemeteries, even infrastructure like water supply, power supply, and roads for an enlarging population. Continue to government and consistuency, and you've got the picture. No child is born or raised in a vacuum. Each child becomes part of society, and we're all responsible for building that. Your "personal decisions" most definitely impact others.
Delete10:39 Humanity impacts the earth and every living thing in it, for good or bad. That doesn't mean it's a person's "business" to judge others or determine how many children they should have.
DeleteIf Evan doesn't want to be a 15-passenger van type of guy, he'd better figure something out real soon.
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure. I wonder what they're going to do next now that the boutique is closing.
DeleteSo insulting. They want kids, so what?
DeleteEvan said it, 1:49.
DeleteI don't understand why Carlin thinks she "needs" more children. She has three now and her husband has made it clear he doesn't want a mega family.
