Henry Blythe Paine was born on August 25th! Erin and Chad haven’t shared any details of the labor, but they did say that it was long and that Erin is recovering from some complications and would appreciate prayer. Henry is doing great.
Long and complicated? I am not surprised. I would be surprised if she had no complications. 7th child previous complications and blood clotting disorder what could not go wrong.
Thank you so much for posting the announcement! We’ll keep Erin and her family in prayer for a full recovery and a blessed homecoming with Henry.
As a side note, I know it takes a lot to update this home page. It would be wonderful to see updated pictures of each family, as there have been several now married and having families that are not reflected. Thank you for all you’re doing to keep this site going! We love it!
I pray Erin makes a full recovery as her children need her. I think this is her body’s way of telling her she needs to stop growing her family. She has beautiful children and a loving husband. Please slow down and enjoy them. No judgment here just a sincere hope that she heeds medical advice this time,
@11:00, Slow down? Erin's situation is unique. She has only a 1/3 of an ovary left and entered menopause before she had Finley. She's years past peek fertility for women who don't have fertility problems, plus women only have a six day window a month to get pregnant. The chances of her getting pregnant are so slim, that when she does get pregnant its a literal miracle of God. And its not like she's having pregnancies super close together. It was fourteen months between William's birth and Henry's conception. Chad and Erin both thought that God was done giving them kids, but God answered the prayers of their other children for another sibling. A prayer answered, another miracle. This baby was meant to be. Plus Erin and Chad don't "grow their family". They have left that up to God. A person may be able to stop God from giving them a baby, but you can't make Him give you one. God knows what he's doing and Chad and Erin have shown that they trust Him for whatever comes. When God wants to stop growing the Paine family, He'll stop performing the miracles necessary for Erin to get pregnant. And as far as her complications go, that can happen with a first pregnancy as easily as a seventh, or no pregnancy at all since this is a UTI and kidney infection. These things happen. Erin takes care of herself, eats well, keeps up her nutrition and exercise, but we're still in a sin cursed world so bad things still happen.
This could happen to a first-time mom too. It has nothing to do with what number baby it is. Medical advice should come from her doctor, not a blog commenter.
I agree with you 11:00. These families have babies too fast for their bodies to take. They try to have them too young and then continually until they're too old. They are really playing against the odds, especially with their known medical histories. They are gambling with their lives as well as the lives of those who would be left behind. This is not "God's plan." This is human foolishness to try to validate feelings of moral superiority. It's bound to backfire someday when the body says "enough" and refuses to cooperate.
@2:12- Before you claim "literal miracle from god", you would need to have access to her full medical history and diagnosis. The Paine's could have left out some information. Obviously, enough of an ovary was left intact and attached to a fallopian tube that eggs were released... otherwise, conception could not have taken place. Remaining healthy tissue can still function, producing hormones and, in many cases, releasing eggs.
@8:33 The Paines have said its a miracle and her doctor said so too when she was expecting William. I'm not making a speculating claim. I had good grounds for saying what i did.
@8:34 I doubt any doctor would contradict the Paines' claim that they experienced a miracle. But the truth and logic of the matter is that conception wouldn't take place without healthy tissue still functioning. Certainly, people are free to believe there's a god performing miracles. But, they shouldn't be surprised or offended if other people don't accept the miracle claims as true.
May God bless Erin with health that she can continue raising her precious children. May God bless Chad with strength that together with Erin keep on embracing the beautiful journey as parents. Be blessed...

DeleteI agree but considering she doesn’t believe in birth control not likely to happen.
DeleteNo lectures needed. They will make the decision they feel is best, no doubt with doctor's guidance.
