Trace and Lydia Bates announced the arrival of their daughter, Kaia Rae Bates. The proud parents say she was born on June 12th and that both she and Lydia are doing well, but they haven’t shared any other details.
I wonder if it's Kye-a or Kay-a. You don't typically pronounce all the vowels individually when they're consecutive, although I'm sure there are exceptions from other languages.
Nobody is going to look at that child's name and immediately know how to pronounce it. She'll have to go through life correcting people. She won't ever find her name on a Coke bottle, a coffee cup, or a souvenir key ring either.
Of all the names in the world, why you'd settle for that for a child to deal with. What happened to straightforward names like Susan or Linda or Lisa? Everything now is spelled with extra vowels or a "y" tossed in somewhere. Or worse yet "X AE A-12." Yes, that one.
3:53,you make me laugh. If the only problem a person has in this life is not finding their name on a Coke bottle or coffee mug...life is being pretty good to them. There's cancer, leukemia, poverty, bullying, drugs, but let's worry about finding our name on a key ring. Most names are not easy to find on those dollar store items you are referring to,unless your name is David or Kate etc. She'll get through life just fine with the beautiful name her parents chose for her. π
3:16 Little kids don't worry about those things. They just want to know why their brother or sister can have a personalized vacation souvenir and they can't.
CONGRATULATIONS Trace, Lydia and Ryker! Welcome baby Kaia Rae!! Good idea Kaia arriving day early and NOT born on Friday the 13th of June!! haha!! We look forward to seeing and hearing the details of your birth! Hope you were "easy" on your sweet mother!!
