Erin is Home!
What a blessing that Erin Paine is back home with her family! After spending almost three weeks in the hospital, she was finally discharged. We know the Paines would appreciate continued prayer for Erin’s recovery, as she still doesn't have function in her right leg, nor does she have all the answers about her health condition.

What a blessing to see her come home.. she looks great. Still praying for her full recovery and mercy for the possible consequences from the sepsis..time will tell, but I would say it’s a miracle to see her come home and look so good, Praise the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful she is home. She is a wonderful mom and I'm sure she was missed. Thank you God.

ReplyDeleteI've prayed for things all my life and not had those prayers answered. Why not?
DeleteNobody can answer that. It puts all the praying and hoping in perspective though.
Delete@5:10 when we pray for things, sometimes those things are not God's will for you. Pray to know and understand God's will for you.
Delete@12:50 Sorry... there's no understanding how cancer could be the will of any loving deity.
DeleteThis is what I have been waiting to hear! How wonderful! Yes I will continue to pray for her full recovery and answers to her questions about her health. Thank you God. ❤️
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!!!! So glad she is home with all her family. Continued prayers for this family.
ReplyDeleteThank God!! That’s wonderful!! We have a healing savior!!
ReplyDeleteWhy did they send her to a rehab facility only to dismiss her so soon? Did the not have insurance coverage? I’m not trying to be snarky, just wondering. It seems odd.
ReplyDeleteI wondered that too. Transferred then released so quickly, without that leg even being rehab'ed. Why transfer at all? Why release? Unless, like you said, they had to do something with the insurance, like they had reset the hospital start date or she ran out of coverage. Who knows what odd insurance or health-share plan they have. Is Chad employed somewhere with conventional health insurance? This whole thing cost someone a whopping amount. Should insurance have to pay when people take risks? Maybe that's part of what's driving up costs for everyone.
DeleteThey don't talk about insurance so it's hard to say what's going on with it. However, after I was hospitalized for a month my doctor ordered me to have physical therapy at home for six weeks. Maybe that's what is happening.
DeleteMaybe she insisted herself (she and Chad) on going home? They might have released her against doctor's advice. It really does seem odd to be home so soon, and in such shape.
Delete@ 10:30 If you support insurance companies denying coverage for people who take "risks", you'd then have to include those who eat a poor diet, don't exercise, have too many speeding tickets, or engage in anything that is considered risky behavior. The reality is that pregnancy and childbirth pose inherent risks to the health and life of a woman.
DeleteFunny thing... the US has the most expensive health care in the world, but it's not leading to healthier outcomes. And we're the only wealthy industrialized country without universal health care, which is a travesty.
@9:16
DeleteWe also subsidizes just about every country that has universal health care.
9:16 Your last sentence makes it sound like we need socialism, a term that would make the Bates family feel lightheaded.
DeleteWe certainly need something other than what we have, a country that doesn't care one bit about its citizens (other than the really rich or famous or both). What good is enacting crazy things that make people mad, or taking good things away? What kind of ridiculous leadership is that? If you want to see a happy country with happy people, look at Sweden or Denmark. Citizens and what they need come first there.
Delete@ 3:52 Yes... the US sends billions in military aid each year to Israel, while Israelis are provided free universal health care and college, as well as free/legal abortions and trans care.
Delete@ 5:09 What makes me feel lightheaded is that the US has the highest rate of maternal mortality among high income/developed countries. And funny thing... states with the highest maternal mortality rates are red ones.
DeleteClearly, our approach to health care and affordable coverage for all isn't working.
@5:09 The US economy does have elements of socialism. Government intervention and public services reflect socialist principles. Among them are Medicare, Social Security, and public libraries and schools, along with government bailouts of industry. Farmers are now asking for government/taxpayer money to help them stay afloat. I think it's a travesty that in the richest country in the world, we have citizens going bankrupt from medical bills even with insurance. The big winners are big insurance companies whose priority is to protect their stock holders and CEO salaries.
DeleteIt is not odd at all. She is not a single woman. They do home visits then out patient PT. They don’t want you in hospital all that long. Or any place communal living all that long so the patients don’t get MRSA, pneumonia, Covid, etc.. They taught her and him to do a few things and send them on their way.
Delete@9:16 You don't come home with no use of a leg and expect that the "few things" they taught you to do will take care of it. They don't even know why her leg is not functioning! Anything you try to do at home unsupervised could make it worse. It certainly won't make it better. She should be in rehab at the very least. Hospitals have infection protocol to avoid those potential problems you mentioned. She has so many kids at home that her chances of catching something there are greater.
DeleteThat was an abrupt change in plans. She will need a lot of care. I hope Chad can manage all this.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news! She will heal better surrounded by her children and family. We have been praying for Erin. We know God will heal her and continue to bless her and her beautiful piano ministry and her on line ministry too!! Prayers for Henry too!
ReplyDeleteMAYBE IT'S THE BLOOD THINNER ?????
ReplyDeletePlease don't guess as what it could be. She has Doctors for that.

ReplyDeleteI hope their church has a homeschool coop or another mom takes the children to homeschool. Erin’s convalescence could be lengthy and it would be a shame to have them get behind in their schooling. Kelly doesn’t need another burden. I think it would be good for the children to get out of the house for a few hours. I’m sure this has been hard on them, too, especially the older ones.
ReplyDeleteI don't see this as some sort of "burden" on Kelly. I think it's good that she's able to help Erin and Chad during this time of need. They can establish a routine and the children can keep up with their schooling.
DeleteI will continue to pray for her full recovery. A family member had sepsis a couple of years ago. They thought he was going to lose both feet. That did not happen. He made a complete recovery. It was through the power of prayer that saw him beat the odds. I know Erin is being covered by prayer from thousands of people all over the world. She is going to recover. I am sure being home is good for emotional health.
ReplyDeleteerin is going to need a tense phyical thearpy. wonder if chads family can help prayers for erin to get well again
ReplyDeleteAn update on Erin would be nice, I hope that happens soon.
DeleteWhy have there not been any updates since she came home? Very strange!
