  6. Why is she dressed like a mini-teenager instead of a sweet newborn? Believe me they grow-up fast enough, enjoy her at the stage she is. Maybe a cuddly sleeper with a little knit hat would be more comfy for her!

    1. She looks plenty comfy. I believe you are just trying to start something, which is sad as really it should just be about beautiful little Kaci Lynn. Congratulations to all!

    2. Seems like she's sleeping soundly to me. Besides isn't that one of the joys being a parent? Picking out cute outfits and taking tons of photos? Let her parents enjoy their adorable baby.

    3. I agree about a sleeper being more comfortable at this age. That's an odd outfit for a newborn.

    4. She not dress like a mini teenage that's how everyone dress their kids,
I was dress like that why I was a baby that was 45 years ago.

  8. I just wish she wouldn't feel the need to look flawless.
You just had a child it's ok.
She looked pretty natural with her first but then Alyssa made herself up with Allie and now I bet all of them will feel the pressure to look as if it's just another day out.

    1. Sorry but most women are going to doll up if their piture is going to be seen by millions of people.

    2. Why does it matter to you? She just had a baby. If she wishes to do her make-up or not it's her decision. Not yours to make. I don't understand why people decide to pick apart someone's pictures on one of their most exciting days. Can't you simply say congrats? This family doesn't promote negativity so why are you imposing yours?

    3. That's Erin in the picture not Alyssa.

    4. I "dolled up" with my second and third babies after seeing the pictures of me after my first son. It's not wrong for a new mom to want to look pretty.

  10. Normally I wouldn't write back to defend my comment on Kaci's outfit but I feel as if you totally misunderstood what it was I was trying to say. I never meant it to hurt anyone but to maybe cause us to think about how fast our children grow-up and not to be too anxious to see them dressed-up in older looking attire. As "to trying to start something", that didn't even enter my mind.Sorry if I offended you but it is the same thing I say about my grand-babies and great grand-babies. I agree she is a beautiful little girl and I wish them all the best.

    1. Ok..perhaps you weren't trying to start something. Having said that there is literally nothing "older looking" in her attire. I think you are looking for things that just are not there. The only thing I see is a young family celebrating the birth of their little daughter.

    2. My niece was dress in a outfit like that it's a cute outfit. She does look like a teenage.

They Bates can dress their kids anyway they want.

    3. It's interesting that those who take issue with other people's comments become very judgmental in their own comments about motives, etc.

    4. Teenage or modern? Babies aren't wearing what they wore 100 years ago. Times change and so does fashion, even for babies. She's wearing a cotton onesie and pants, how's that not comfortable? I dressed my boys like that all the time when they were babies (almost 20 years ago), and they were always calm and happy. Also, that headband looks way more comfortable than those ugly gathered things most people use. That baby is appropriately dressed for her age and looks beautiful.

Ps. I don't care what your motives are, I just wonder why you felt the need to run commentary on this. Maybe you thought they'd see your comment and start dressing their baby the way you want them to? It's just a weird thing to comment about.
