Watch Carson's Arrival on UP

Tune in to UP tonight at 9pm ET/8pm CT for a one-hour special of Bringing Up Bates, "Erin's Little Miracle" (video preview below).

Erin and Chad Paine have their final appointment with Dr. Vick before Carson's arrival. During the dramatic, high-risk delivery, the entire family is on pins and needles, hoping and praying that all goes well.

I'm so happy they was able to have a happy healthy baby boy, after everything they have gone through!

I understand what they are going through, me and my husband have been married for 5 year's this December and we haven't had any luck on conceiving. I'm praying if it's God's will to have my own that it will happen soon:)

  4. Erin and Chad have done an awesome job as a married couple staying connected to their families. Zach and Whitney have also. I love to see how much they want to serve the LORD and have stayed true to their roots and upbringing. They have not let the world around them and the popularity of the show keep them from being committed Christians . They truly show a Godly spirit and love!

  5. What a beautiful episode, I cried with joy, what a wonderful family.I feel at home with familiarity with this similuar family of our beloved Duggars.I hope we get to see the Bates grow up too.How refreshing it is to have quality programming on a quality network, thanks UP network :-)

    1. It would be nice if the Bates stays on UP for several years and we can watch the children all marry and have children of their own. They are better than the Duggers. There is no staging or entertaining us. They are who they are. We see Micheal getting carry with Tori. We see how the disagree on where to put the chicken coop. They have different tastes and likes. But there is a natural closeness between them. I like the Praise before a present. And the hugs when given a gift. They were raised well. And I don't think they do side hugs either. I just hope the kids do not allow the fame to cause them to be big headed in time.

  7. Lily and Ellie, I have a question for you. Will you be posting a recap of Erin`s Little Miracle? I was looking for it this morning, but there was none, and you didn`t say whether you will or not. Please write a recap if you can, I always look forward to reading them, since I can`t watch Bringing Up Bates.
    Thanks a lot,

  8. This episode was so touching! I was crying as baby Carson was born, just knowing everything that Erin & Chad have been through and what it took to get that little guy here. I'm so glad he arrived safely and both mom and baby are healthy! God bless this precious new family!

  9. Curious about why it was considered a high risk delivery? My friend had the same clotting disorder that caused miscarriages then injections to sustain the later pregnacies and was not high risk delivery??

    1. You should suggest to a group of friends that on the night the Bates show is on you all have a get together and watch the show together and every one bring some snacks over. My daughter had done that when The Office was on. Her friends and her had a ball over another friend's house.

  12. I just got to sit down and watch the episode and I'm sitting here in tears. God bless Erin and Chad. They have been through so much and so much heartbreak...Praise God for his blessing of giving this beautiful couple a gorgeous new baby. Prayer does work! Congratulations! My sister has the same clotting disorder that Erin does and she just had a beautiful baby girl a couple of weeks ago. She went through the testing and shots too...but again, prayer works!!

  16. Dear Lily and Ellie,
My name is Christina Webkins and I`m an exchange student in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am not able to watch the Bates on TV, so I was hoping that you would post a recap of Erin's Little Miracle. However, there was no recap when I went on your blog this morning. Will you be posting a recap? Please do, I always look forward to them since I can`t watch and I know others do too.
    Thank you!

  17. I complete cried my eyes out. The strength that Chad and Erin put forth is amazing. And I am glad to see the joy they are experiencing after everything they've been through. They deserve it. They serve all the joy in the world. And all the good fortune. They remind me of my grandparents relationship and what it might have been like at the beginning of there nearly 60 years of marriage. Erin and Chad are so sweet genuine and devoted and I know no matter what they will continue to love each with all there heart's. Their experience is heartbreaking yet inspiring. I feel so happy seeing them so happy. May God continue to bless Chad and Erin. And I hope they know there is whole lot of people inspired by them looking out for them and praying for them.

  18. I was just wondering if Erin will have to endure shots for all her future pregnancies as I don't know much about that condition. Is that an ongoing problem or a one time thing?
