Bates at the Lake (Screenshots)

During last night's episode of Bringing Up Bates, we checked in with Erin, Chad, and baby Carson; watched Tori show off her new wardrobe; and headed to the lake with the entire Bates clan (minus Alyssa and John Webster).

For those of you who were unable to tune in, be sure to read our recap and check out these screen shots.

Erin and Chad Paine are home from the hospital and loving being parents to baby Carson

Chad Paine hands off Carson to his eager mother, Tammy Paine

Tammy spends a few days with Erin and Chad to help them adjust to parenthood

Tori's younger siblings gather around to admire her new clothes from Burlington Coat Factory

Carlin and Tori are two-and-a-half years apart in age and are very close

Tori models a blouse she bought at Burlington

The rest of the family loves Tori's new clothes, and Gil loves that he didn't have to pay for them

The Bates clan spends a fun-filled day at a nearby lake

Bradley loves playing in the water with Zach and Whitney

  1. So happy for Erin, Chad and Carson! But one thing I noticed, Erin says to her mother- in law when she leaves they all will die :( Why she is talking negatively ? God had been so gracious to her throughout her journey and will continue to bless them. We should never use our mouth to talk negative things even for joke. Hope somebody talk to her about this.

    1. I don't remember Erin saying anything negative. She never does. She is a positive person. I will have to watch the show again to see what you are talking about. No one needs to correct Erin. She is never out of line. And anyway, it's not morbid for a Christian to speak death. Or fear it. For christians....Heaven awaits us. What A joyful thought. He has risen freeing us from the bondage of sin and judgment.

    2. What ?? Christians can laugh. A joke.is a joke. Everyone uses a jokes . Jokes aren't meant to be taken seriously. There is nothing wrong.with that. We kid, we tease . We laugh. What is wrong with that ? Erin negative ?! Never !! She isn't that way ! She is smiles, sunshine, humorous , honesty and warmth. How many shows have you watched ? I think you are misunderstanding her. To have a negative thought of.Erin is so wrong. You are.mistaken.

  3. I think the picture with Whitney and Bradley is actually Lawson and not Zach. Zach never got in the water.

    1. When the Duggers were on TLC no one.said I love the Duggers and Bates. Why do they do it now ? The Bates are on UP, the Duggers are not.

  6. I meant to say Bradley is plumb cute, not Zachary! (But Zach is also good looking -- all the Bates are.)

  10. Love how the Bates family care about one another. It was nice to see how everyone was interested in seeing the new clothes Tori just purchased. Just wondering...Why do they call the paternal grandmother Janey ? Why do they call the maternal grandmother Mema ? Is it something done in the south? Just curious.

  15. I admire those kids I don't know if I would.dive from that height. I held my breath when they did. I..scared me. That lightning scared me.too. I wouldn't.have thrown my sandwich, I would have taken off. I admire their courage and waiting it out. I would have left worth Zach. I don't take chances. They had so much fun. It was fun to watch. Did they catch any fish ?

  18. If that was my family and we had to get out of the water we would have moaned and groaned. Those children are so well behaved. And cooperative. They never made any thing hard on their parents. Those kids wrapped themselves in towels and watched the rain come down without a complaint. At first that rain was so gentle.
